China creates Olympic Covid ‘bubble’ as Xi inspects venues ahead of Beijing Winter Games
  • 2 years ago
With the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics in less than a month, thousands of Games-related staff have started to enter a “bubble” meant to fight the spread of Covid-19 in the Chinese capital. They will be cocooned for weeks in the closed loop, with no direct physical access to the outside world. China has already prevented foreign spectators from entering the country for the Games which will take place from February 4 to 20 at venues in Beijing, Yanqing, and Zhangjiakou.
