Wildlife experts spot 'biggest bear they've ever seen' stomping past Minnesota trail camera

Wildlife experts spotted the 'biggest bear they've ever seen' stomping past a trail camera with its stomach swinging side-to-side.

It is thought the roughly-350kg mammal had been enjoying plentiful food to prepare for hibernation.

The camera was set up by Voyageurs Wolf Project to study wolves in Voyageurs National Park in southern Minnesota, USA.

The University of Minnesota researchers estimate they see one or two bears each week on their 200 trail cameras, but that this one is the fattest they've ever captured.

About 250 black bears roam the forests, and campers are advised to hang their food in a locker hung in a tree while in the area.

The video was filmed on October 7 2021.
