On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. The university is being established at an estimated cost of Rs 700 crore in the Salawa and Kaili villages of Sardhana town in Meerut. In his oration, PM Modi stated that "Visiting Meerut at the start of the year is special for me. Also, he jibed at the opposition saying that previous governments were busy playing their own games.
