Mask mandate takes effect in Queensland as state records more than 2,200 cases

Queenslanders will be required to start wearing masks indoors from tomorrow as the state recorded more than two thousand two hundred new cases in just 12 hours. Concerns are growing for vulnerable communities in the Torres Strait, as 12 new cases have been recorded on Thursday island since Christmas Eve.
