On Thursday, two heavyweight Jat leaders Rakesh Tikait and Jayant Chaudhary sent out a strong message to the Western Uttar Pradesh electorate as they came together at Kisan Ghat to pay homage to former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh on his birth anniversary. Hundreds of workers from Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and Bhartiya Kisaan Union (BKU) gathered at Kisan Ghat. When BKU leader Rakesh Tikait entered the venue a yagya was being performed by RLD national president Jayant Chaudhary along with his wife. Tikait was escorted by the leaders present there.
