Omicron crosses 260 in India, PM to take review meeting

India witnessed a spike in its daily Covid-19 cases on Thursday with a single-day tally surging to 7,495. The new variant of coronavirus Omicron has been registered in more than 13 states. India's total number of Omicron cases in India has risen to 236, of which 104 have been recovered. According to the Centre's data, Maharashtra reported 65, Delhi 57, Telangana 24, Gujarat 23, and Kerala registered 15 cases so far. Even the children have been found coronavirus infected in many schools of Bengal and Himachal Pradesh. In the wake of rising cases in the country, PM Modi will preside over in the review meeting.
