Our Entertainment Editor joined the African American Film Critics Association for their roundtable with the cast and creators of the Paramount+ reboot of The Game. During the interview they discuss the race and politics of the show, rebooting a classic, the shift in roles between Malik Wright and Tasha Mack, the N-word episode, Adriyan Rae taking over the role as Brittany Pitts and more.

The Game, which is set in Las Vegas, is described as “modern-day examination of Black culture through the prism of pro football,” per the official synopsis. “The team will tackle racism, sexism, classism and more as they fight for fame, fortune, respect and love — all while trying to maintain their souls as they each play The Game.”
