On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Women-centric initiatives in Prayagraj ahead of the upcoming UP elections. The program was held as per PM Modi's vision to empower women, especially at the grassroots level. The Centre has transferred an amount of Rs 1000 crore in the bank account of Self Help Groups (SHGs), benefitting around 16 lakh women members. The claim and promise on safety and respect for women have been made by BJP at a time when Congress has given 40 percent tickets to women by taking out the Pink Manifesto for UP. On the other hand, the Samajwadi Party is besieging the government on issues like Hathras and Unnao rape case. Now the question is, will women in UP prove to be 'silent voters' for PM Modi?
