केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने मुंबई में हाईवे, ट्रांसपोर्ट और लॉजिस्टिक में निवेश के अवसर पर आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में निवेशकों से संवाद किया.गडकरी ने देश के इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर सेक्टर में निवेशकों से दिल खोलकर निवेश की अपील की.गडकरी ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर सेक्टर में हाईवे से लेकर लॉजिस्टिक पार्क, रोपवेज, वेयरहाउसिंग जोन समेत निवेश के कई विकल्प मौजूद हैं...गडकरी ने कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए 1990 में महाराष्ट्र में शिवसेना-बीजेपी सरकार के पीडब्ल्यूडी मंत्री के रूप में अपने कार्यकाल को याद किया.उन्होने कहा कि उस दौरान मैने रिलायंस की ओर से पेश एक टेंडर को रिजेक्ट कर दिया था.मेरे इस फैसले से धीरूभाई अंबानी परेशान हो गए थे और सवाल उठाने लगे.गडकरी ने कहा कि इतना ही नहीं, मेरे सहयोगी मंत्री और तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर जोशी भी मुझसे नाराज हो गए थे.गडकरी ने कहा कि इस मामले में बाला साहेब ठाकरे ने भी मुझसे पूछा था कि मैने वह टेंडर क्यों ठुकराया था.
