Residents have hit out at Canterbury City Council who they say have decided to change their bin system.

Instead of using black bins, rubbish while now be disposed in plastic purple bags but many are complaining that it's bad for the environment and causing a mess on the streets.

But the council says the change comes after reports that the black bins being left out are causing a hazard.
