उत्तर प्रदेश में अगले साल होने वाले चुनाव को देखते हुए नेताओं ने कमर कस ली है, इसी कड़ी में एसपी अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव इन दिनों विजय रथ यात्रा निकाल रहे हैं, मंगलवार को उनकी रथ यात्रा जौनपुर पहुंची, इस दौरान अखिलेश ने भाजपा और प्रदेश सरकार पर जमकर हमला बोला। उन्होंने कहा कि बीजेपी लाल रंग का मायने नहीं समझती। यह रंग भावनाओं का होता है। सपा अध्यक्ष ने दावा किया कि उनकी पार्टी जनता के साथ मिलकर भाजपा को प्रदेश और देश से हटा देगी। इसके साथ ही कहा कि यूपी विधानसभा चुनाव 2022 में समाजवादी पार्टी 400 सीटें जीतेगी।
