Harnaaz Sandhu takes home India’s first Miss Universe title in 21 years

India’s Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned Miss Universe 2021 at the pageant hosted by Israel at the Red Sea resort of Eilat on December 13, 2021. Sandhu will take home the South Asian country’s first Miss Universe prize in 21 years since Lara Dutta won the crown in 2000. In her winning speech, Sandhu said she wants to “uplift all women” and urged people to get vaccinated against Covid-19 to keep international borders open.
