To solicit money, children in the Quiboloy church had to pretend to be orphans, deaf-mutes

Arlene Caminong Stone, now based in Minnesota in the US, says they pretended to be orphans, sometimes deaf-mutes, determined to continue with schooling. Later, she was told to drop out of school. “Apollo Quiboloy made a claim that it was the ultimate sign of the Second Coming. That’s why we have to leave our school, to leave our family. And join the ministry,” she says.
