Indian-American Anil Menon Named In NASA'S New Astronaut List

On December 6, NASA announced its 10 latest trainee astronauts. These 10 were selected from more than 12,000 applicants. This lucky group will now report for duty in January at the Johnson Space Center in Texas. They will undergo two years of training. Indian-American Dr Anil Menon is one of the 10 people selected. The list includes a former member of the national cycle team, a pilot who led the first-ever all-woman F-22 formation in combat, a firefighter turned Harvard professor, a medical physicist among others. The 10 candidates range in age from 32 to 45 years. When asked what he wants to accomplish with this training, Menon said, “To get more doctors in space!” Watch the video to know more.
