Russian President Vladimir Putin Arrives In Delhi, Meets PM Narendra Modi, India & Russia Sign 28 Deals

On December 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. Since the Covid-19 pandemic began, this was Putin’s second overseas visit. Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also arrived in India for his meeting with the Foreign and Defence ministers. PM Modi while welcoming President Putin tweeted, “The initiatives that we take today will further increase the scope of our cooperation to new areas.” President Putin said, “We have been promoting military-technical cooperation like with no other partner of ours.
