Singapore scientists develop smart bandage that tracks wounds via an app
  • 2 years ago
Scientists at the National University of Singapore have developed a smart bandage that can monitor wounds using an app. This allows patients with chronic wounds to be monitored remotely, potentially saving them visits to the doctor.  Information such as temperature, bacteria type, pH data and inflammatory factors can be gathered by the “VeCare” bandage within 15 minutes. Doctors can then carry out an assessment and track the healing process using the data collected on the app.
