Opposition MPs Protest Suspension With Dharna, Venkaiah Naidu Defends Govt Decision

On December 2, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned soon after the House convened. Opposition members protested as Rajya Sabha Chairman, Venkaiah Naidu refused to permit Mallikarjun Kharge, the leader of the Opposition to speak about the matter of suspension of 12 MPs. Naidu reiterated that the 12 MPs have not expressed remorse. The Rajya Sabha chairman said that the House has not transacted business since the beginning of the Winter Session. The Opposition has said that the suspension is unfair.
