Train carriage loses doors at Hong Kong MTR line, forcing partial suspension of rail service
  • 2 years ago
A pair of carriage doors came off and fell onto the tracks as a train approached Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay station on December 2, 2021. MTR service on the Hong Kong Island line was subsequently suspended between Wan Chai and Quarry Bay at the height of rush hour. Long queues formed at nearby bus stations as stranded passengers were forced to find alternative routes. The rail operator is arranging shuttle buses to ease the crowd congestion.  Video source: SCMP/Social media
