Major study finds Australian bird populations under threat

A leading conservation organisation is calling on governments here and in internationally to do more to protect the habitats of rapidly declining bird numbers. A study carried out by birdlife Australia and Charles Darwin University has found the plight of a third of the nation's most threatened birds has worsened in the past decade.
