'Sailor waited 4 LONG YEARS to hug her mom *EMOTIONAL Military Homecoming* '

'Emotions ran high when a sailor reunited with her mom after not one, not two, not three, but four long years.

This soul-stirring video features Briana Michelle Duquette surprising her mom and getting her excited like a child.

"I was stationed in VA and unable to make it home for a year," Briana said. "I then received orders to head to Japan and with such short notice, I wasn’t able to take a transfer leave.

"I've been in Japan for 3 years, which made it 4 years since I had seen my mom. While on deployment this year, we were informed that the travel guidelines for CONUS were more flexible as compared to last year.

"So, I told my brother that I wanted to surprise mom (Brenda). He picked me up from the airport and we made our way to my mom's workplace. Her boss was in on the plan and helped me hide in the closet across the hall from his office where he had called my mom."

Briana added that her mom's reaction to the surprise was "everything I could have asked for."
