Newegg ($NEGG@US), the leading online tech retailer recently announced that it will start accepting Shiba Inu tokens as payment in time for the holiday season. Previously, Newegg was the first major eCommerce platform to accept Bitcoin back in 2014 after a partnership with BitPay. Newegg was also one of the first big platforms to accept Dogecoin payments earlier this year and Litecoin not long after. Andrew Choi, Newegg’s Director of Brand Management, said, “We are always looking for ways to innovate the shopping experience on Newegg.com, and something our customers want is greater flexibility and options, including the ability to pay with a wide range of cryptocurrencies.” Newegg also made the announcement with The Reef, a 40,000 square foot digital out-of-home billboard that spans an entire city block in Los Angeles, to kick off its holiday marketing campaign.
