New Omicron COVID variant arrives on Australian shores

The new Omicron variant of COVID-19 has arrived in Australia. Health authorities in NSW say two travellers who returned from southern Africa have tested positive to the strain. Researchers are now investigating if it's more dangerous than other strains or possibly resistant to vaccines.
