The wooden box instant camera, or the “kamra-e-faoree” as it is known in Dari, is disappearing from the streets of Afghanistan. This type of vintage camera has survived multiple wars and even a Taliban ban on photography during the hardline group’s first rule. But it's finally showing its age as Afghanistan moves towards a digital landscape.
