Currency notes came down from a pipeline in a raid by Karnataka's Anti-Corruption Bureau. The raid was conducted at an engineer’s house associated with the Public Works Development (PWD). Reportedly, this raid was part of a statewide crackdown on government officials who have been accused of corruption. The raid was conducted at the residence of PWD joint engineer Shantha Gowda Biradar in Kalburgi district. Reportedly, Rs 25 lakh in cash and gold was recovered from his residence.
