In an event of the Indo-Russia Friendship Society, Iyer said that since 2014, we have become slaves of America. Former Union Minister Aiyar also said that there were tensions with America but our relations with Moscow were never tense like this. कांग्रेस नेता मणिशंकर अय्यर के इस बार अमेरिका से भारत की बढ़ती दोस्ती पर निशाना साधा है. इंडो-रशिया फ्रेंडशिप सोसायटी के एक कार्यक्रम में अय्यर ने कहा कि 2014 के बाद से हम अमेरिका के गुलाम बन गए हैं. पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री अय्यर ने ये भी कहा अमेरिका के साथ तनाव हुए लेकिन मास्को के साथ हमारे संबंध कभी इस तरह से तनाव वाले नहीं थे. उन्होंने कहा कि जब से बीजेपी की सरकार आई है हालात एकदम बदल गए हैं.
