QLD and the federal government have agreed to jointly fund mandatory COVID tests

The Queensland Premier is calling for the federal government to ensure mandatory covid testing is covered by Medicare. But the federal Health Minister Greg Hunt is standing firm, it comes after he sent a letter urging the QLD Premier to drop the PCR testing in favour of the cheaper, rapid but less effective antigen testing.
