BOSTON, MA -- Jaylen Brown was interviewed following his return to Boston's lineup in the team's 108-90 win over Houston. It was Brown's first game in over two weeks as he recovered from a strained hamstring. Brown said “I felt good going up into the game. I wasn’t super happy with how my body felt." He also said that while he felt some tightness and discomfort, it hadn't gotten worse during the game and lingered during his limited minutes. "This group has played extremely well while I've been out," said Brown. "I've seen a lot of steps forward from a lot of guys that has me excited about our potential."
Brown also spoke on the trial in the Death of Ahmaud Arbery, among others. Brown stated "reform doesn't work ... until we get to the root of things, we're going to keep having these instances."
Brown also reflected on the opening of the Terrence Clarke memorial court. "Some of the things you might've been distracted by ... it brings some of those emotions back to the front," said Brown. "Energy lasts forever and we truly believe if we keep speaking his name, that energy's still going to be around."
