A Kent MP is urging the government not to use one of the county's crucial motorways as an alternative to Operation Stack.

Tonbridge and Malling's Tom Tugendhat has urged the Department for Transport not to use the M26 as an on-road lorry park as a solution.

The proposal could see traffic chaos in the surrounding villages.
