Barming sinkhole swallows businesses profits
  • 2 years ago
A restaurant in Maidstone's lost 200 thousand pounds in revenue as a result of the Barming Sinkhole.

The hole on Tonbridge Road opened up in May and the road's been closed since then while Kent County Council carries out major work to fix it.

But the road won't re-open until mid-October almost five months after the sinkhole first appeared, something businesses say is costing them thousands.
