The new leader of Kent County Council has been tasked with focusing on climate change as he begins his time in charge.

Councillor Roger Gough admitted it was a huge honour to be chosen as successor to former leader Paul Carter.

Upon leaving the role, Carter also advised the new administration to focus on economic and education inequalities, and providing support for carers.
