Testing for coronavirus urgently needs to be ramped up in Kent and the rest of the UK according to many experts who say the government's pledge to screen 100,000 people a day by the end of the month is looking increasingly unlikely.

The most tests carried out in one day so far is 18,000 and the country's strategy has been criticised for being too slow.
