The leader of Medway Council's hit out at government plans to overhaul the way houses are built.

Under proposals put forward by Boris Johnson, development would be given automatic permission if they fit the area.

Cllr Alan Jarrett says the new system will damage local democracy and isn't tackling the root of the issue.
