After suffering huge backlogs for months, mechanics say they've seen a surge in cancellations of MOTs because of the second lockdown - raising fears there's thousands of unroadworthy cars in the county.

One garage in Chatham says drivers aren't turning up to the tests because they believe they're not allowed to.

They're now urging motorists to get booked in or face putting their lives at risk at the wheel because their cars aren't safe.
