New immigration plans set out as Kent MPs call for system reform
  • 2 years ago
Two Kent MPs have backed Home Office plans to overhaul rules for asylum seekers.

Gordon Henderson and Craig Mackinlay say the current system is chaotic and is in desperate need of reform.

It comes as 150 more migrants crossed the channel, the most in a single day this year.

Charities and anti-racism campaigners fear the proposals will make the system even worse.
