A state of emergency has been declared in British Columbia, Canada. Incessant rains have disrupted normal life in the Canadian western province of British Columbia. Thousands have been left stranded due to the floods. The Canadian Armed Forces have been called in to help the affected people. Many farm animals have also lost their lives. On November 17, John Horgan, British Columbia Premier, declared a two-week emergency order The decision was taken in order to keep people off flooded roads and expedite rescues.
