Civil Aviation Minister writes to CMs, LGs of 22 states, UTs to reduce VAT on ATF

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia claimed of writing to 22 Ministers and LGs to reduce VAT on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF). While talking to media persons on November 18 he said, “In the coming years, civil aviation will be a crucial part of India”.
Scindia added, “Our competition is going on with the railways too and it is our endeavour that in the coming years, there should be more than one trip by people who travel by rail. That's why the civil aviation sector has become our backbone. Many Chief Ministers have understood that economic and social prosperity will also increase on the basis of connectivity”.
