Nawab Malik vs Sameer Wankhede: Court Asks Minister To File Affidavit, NCB Officer’s Father Asked To Prove Charges Are False

On November 10, the Bombay High Court said Nawab Malik, Maharashtra minister, must file an affidavit that his claims about NCB officer Sameer Wankhede are verified. The court said that Malik should file an affidavit about his claims that Wankhede is a Muslim by birth. The court was hearing the defamation suit Wankhede's father had filed against Malik. Single judge bench of Justice Madhav Jamdar said that it depends on Dnyandev Wankhede to prove what Nawab Malik is saying is false. Malik has claimed that the officer is a Muslim by birth and his real name is Sameer Dawood Wankhede. The minister also said the officer forged his birth certificate to get job reservation which was meant for Scheduled Castes. Sameer Wankhede’s father filed a Rs 1.25 crore defamation suit against the minister. Watch the video to know more.
