Congress has suffered a major setback in Manipur. Ahead of the assembly elections to be held next year, two MLAs, who had ties with the party, have left the Congress and joined the BJP. Rajkumar Imo Singh and Yumthong Haokip joined the BJP on Monday. Both joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and party's Manipur in-charge Sambit Patra.

मणिपुर (Manipur Congress) में कांग्रेस को बड़ा झटका लगा है। अगले साल होने वाले विधानसभा चुनाव (Manipur Assembly Election 2022) से पहले पार्टी से नाता रखने वाले दो विधायकों ने कांग्रेस छोड़ बीजेपी (BJP) का दामन थाम लिया है. राजकुमार इमो सिंह (rajkumar imo singh) और यमथॉन्ग हाओकिप (Yamthong Haokip) ने सोमवार को बीजेपी ज्वाइन कर ली. दोनों ने केंद्रीय मंत्री सर्बानंद सोनोवाल (sarbananda sonowal) और पार्टी के मणिपुर प्रभारी संबित पात्रा की मौजूदगी में बीजेपी की सदस्यता ली.
