In a much-needed relief for the people of Odisha, CM Naveen Patnaik on Thursday (November 4) announced Rs 3 VAT reduction on petrol and diesel. This will be over and above the excise duty cut announced by the central government yesterday. On the eve of Diwali, the Centre had slashed excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10, respectively.
