Diwali is being celebrated with pomp across the country today. During the 'Ek Diya Shaheedon Ke Naam' program on the eve of Diwali, people in Udhampur lit diyas in memory of the martyred soldiers. It was a unique way of paying tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the country.

देशभर में आज Diwali धूमधाम से मनाई जा रही है। Diwali की पूर्व संध्या पर 'Ek Diya Shaheedon Ke Naam' कार्यक्रम के दौरान Udhampur में लोगों ने martyred soldiers की याद में दीये जलाए। देश के लिए लड़ते हुए अपनी जान गंवाने वाले सैनिकों को श्रद्धांजलि ( tribute to soldiers) देने का यह एक अनूठा तरीका था।
