Australia Recognises Covaxin As It Opens For Travellers

On November 1, Australia recognised India’s Covaxin. This move comes as the country relaxed restrictions on international travel. Australians can now travel without a permit or the need to quarantine on arrival in the country. A media release from the Australian government said, “Covaxin (manufactured by Bharat Biotech, India) and BBIBP-CorV (manufactured by Sinopharm, China) vaccines would be 'recognised' for the purpose of establishing a traveller's vaccination status.” All the travellers will have to carry proof of negative Covid-19 test prior to boarding.
