Tripura Violence: Mosques To Be Guarded By Police After Muslim Property Targeted, Burnt Down

Police in Tripura has provided protection to mosques in sensitive areas. This comes after some people vandalised a mosque on October 26. Some shops and homes were also damaged. Tripura police tweeted that fake social media IDs are being used to create trouble. The state police tweeted that the situation is normal and action will be taken against those spreading fake news. The Tripura police said, “Some vested interests are trying to disturb the peaceful communal situation of Tripura.” “A case has been registered against the viral fake posts on social media platforms,” Saurabh Tripathi, Tripura Police IGP Law & Order told ANI.
