A giant python was rescued from near Bangiriposi forest under the famous Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj. Villagers of Khantapada spotted the huge 15 ft snake in a paddy field nearby. They alerted forest department officials who reached the spot and rescued the python. Later, the reptile was later released into a nearby forest in a healthy state.
