EU Approves Booster Shots Of Moderna Vaccine, Pharma Firm Says Its Covid-19 Safe For Children Aged 6-11 Years

On October 25, European Medicines Agency, EU’s drug watchdog approved booster doses of Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine for all above 18 years. Spikevax is the second booster to be given the green signal after Pfizer/BioNTech's Comirnaty jab earlier this month. Moderna Inc also said its Covid-19 vaccine is safe & generated a strong immune response in children aged 6 to 11 years. Moderna said that in its trial of 4,753 participants, side effects were mostly mild to moderate in severity. The most common side effects were fatigue, headache, fever and injection site pain. Moderna plans to submit these data to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), European Medicines Agency (EMA) and other global regulators in the near term. Watch the video to know more.
