Reviving Oral Storytelling In Digital Age

Reviving the traditional artform of storytelling, a three-day event 'Kathakar: International Storytellers Festival' invited storytellers from across the globe. The three-day event, organised by Nivesh and HHACH in partnership with UNESCO, witnessed immersive storytelling sessions focusing on India’s rare art forms as well as native tales from Africa, the UK, Greece, Poland, Russia and Iran. The term "storytelling" refers in to oral storytelling and also to techniques used in other media to unfold or disclose the narrative of a story. But is oral storytelling still relevant in the digital age?
