India's Sports Minister feels athletes prepared well for Asian Games 2018

Union sports minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore spoke to Outlook about Indian athletes’ preparations for the Asian Games. He also mentioned the ministry was looking into increasing the salaries of the coaches and support staff. Rathore took charge of the ministry after he took voluntary retirement from the Army. He was the first Indian to win a silver medal at the Olympics. He won it at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games in rifle double trap. Rathore now serves the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
