BJP's Kashmir Card: Is PDP split part of the Hindutva narrative ahead of 2019 elections?

Could BJP's split from PDP in Kashmir be a part of their larger strategy to push a Hindutva agenda? The BJP-PDP alliance in Kashmir had many people unhappy. After the “worsening situation” in Kashmir came up multiple times at a three-day long meeting between the BJP and RSS from June 19. They were worried that the alliance between PDP and BJP was affecting PM Modi’s image.

The crux of BJP’s strategy seems to be Hindutva and nationalism. Which includes making progress on the Ram Mandir and completing construction on the Ramayana museum in Ayodhya. They also want to get rid of their anti-Dalit image by giving more ground to parties like Mayawati’s BSP.
