Today Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Amit Shah is in Kashmir to review the security arrangements amid increasing terrorist incidents in the Valley. This is the first time Shah has visited Kashmir after becoming home minister and abrogation of Article 370. A high-level meeting of Home Minister Amit Shah was held in Srinagar regarding the security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir. This meeting lasted for four hours. In his address, the Home Minister told the youth that my career started as the chairman of a polling booth. My family had no political background. Neither am I the son of any minister nor was my mother ever in politics. This is the beauty of democracy that I rose from a small level to become the Home Minister of this country. Attacking the opposition, Amit Shah said that before August 5, 2019, the youth of Kashmir could have thought of becoming the Home Minister, Vice President, or Finance Minister of the country.
