India is set to cross the milestone of administering 1 billion (100 crore) Covid-19 vaccine doses on Thursday, nine months after the government initiated a "nationwide inoculation programme" to protect the citizens against coronavirus disease. The Centre has also planned a series of events to mark the occasion.
