Coal Minister Prahlad Joshi is on a two-day visit to the coal-rich states of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh from Wednesday amid shortage of coal in the country's power plants. The Union Minister reached Chatra in Jharkhand on Thursday where he visited the Ashok Opencast Coal Mine of CCL Ranchi in the district.
During this, while talking to the media, Coal Minister Prahlad Joshi said, "There was a shortage of coal due to rain and the import of coal had stopped. Since yesterday we are supplying 2 million tonnes of coal.
देश के Power Crisis में कोयले की कमी के बीच Coal Minister Prahlad Joshi बुधवार से कोयला संपन्न राज्यों Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh के दो दिवसीय दौरे पर हैं. केंद्रीय मंत्री गुरुवार को Jharkhand के चतरा पहुंचे जहां उन्होंने जिले में CCL Ranchi की अशोक ओपनकास्ट कोयला खदान का दौरा किया
इस दौरान मीडिया से बात करते हुए Coal Minister Prahlad Joshi ने कहा,' बारिश के कारण कोयले की कमी थी और कोयले का आयात बंद हो गया था. कल से हम 2 मिलियन टन कोयले की आपूर्ति कर रहे हैं
